There is nothing free in this world nor is Social Media
There is a misconception about social media that it is either free or too cheap to use. I do not agree with this thing. In my point of view social media is more expensive than conventional media. You will agree with me if you believe in an old saying “Time is money”. Social media is just about spending your precious time instead of money. Of course money is also evolved but the most important thing is, more the time you spend more the better results you get.
What is social media all about? Answer is participation. Participating in social media is free from the perspective of joining and engaging. But to get something out of it, you need a quality approach. It’s not all about just joining, spamming comments, just increasing follower or following list, etc. In simple words it is like a “give n take” relationship, you come up with some good and quality thing for the community and you will get your desired result I.e. followers and more traffic to your website /blog.
How much time is required for a social media campaign? Answer is that there is no limit. It’s solely depends upon you what you really wants to get back from your social media campaign. If you think that just doing an experiment in social media with little time can achieve success, then you are on wrong path. Don’t start a social media campaign unless you can commit to spend the time which is required for quality work.
Social Media is not all about spending time! Lot of other things is required to maintain a social media campaign. Social media sites charges a fee for upgrading to a premium or pro account. You require lot of paid tools to create a buzz. From a company point of view, social media is not a one man show. You need your employees to spend some time on social media sites. So money is also evolved and sometime it can be a big amount.
That’s why social media campaign definitely needs an investment in resources and technology other then time, that isn’t free by any means.

Agreed might
there is nothing free
I’ve always said this very thing, or I think we are saying the same thing.
My position has always been, without deep knowledge in an area or deep skill, one doesn’t have anything to sell to the public that they want.
Everyone has “opinions” just by the very fact of being alive. But, having opinions doesn’t mean that the average Joe has something to say that other people will be willing to pay for.
Great entry. I just wish others would realize this fact.
Many marketing consultants will say that if a blogger can get the blog correct, the advertising revenue will follow. But, by “correct” they unfortunately don’t mean having deep knowledge or deep skill. They mean simply the format of the blog itself.
That is just the first step. The real work comes in getting up to the level of a “black belt” in a topic, so that you can have a following. With great expertise or knowledge, one is just falling for the oldest con in the world, that is, paying a consultant for inaccurate information.
