Google to live stream Indian Premier League (IPL) 2010 through YouTube
There is good news for all the cricket fans that YouTube will live stream all DLF IPL 2010 matches. Google India has signed an agreement with Indian Premier League and its licensing partner Global Cricket Ventures that will enable it to live stream all DLF IPL 2010 matches on a dedicated IPL channel on YouTube. According to the agreement, Google will have exclusive online rights for IPL content for two years and both Google and IPL will jointly share revenues from sponsorships and advertising on www.youtube.com/ipl and on www.iplt20.com (official website of IPL). Google has come up with yet another way to personalize search results. Now Google let you “star” search results that you like, just like the star feature in other Google products like Gmail, Reader, and Google News. When you star results you like, you will get them at the top of your results the next time you search a query significant to them.
To star the results, you had to simply click the star marker on any search result or map and the next time you perform a search, that item will appear in a special list right at the top of your results when significant. (more…)
