1 Comment »December 28th, 2009

Now with both the major search engine Google and Bing entered in real-time search, it’s definitely going to affect the brand reputation and SEO in near future. Real Time Search is certainly going to be the major factor for most of the online marketers. That’s why till now if you are not using the Twitter or Facebook or Blogging, then the time has come to give serious thought about it.

What is real-time search?

Real-Time Search” means to get search results on live updates from people on sites like Twitter, FriendFeed,  Facebook, Myspace, as well as headlines from latest news and blog posts. In simple words it means that search engines are now grading the social relevancy of a searched query and giving it place in SERPS.

What does real-time search mean to you as an online marketer?

Think about being on top result of Google with just a simple tweet or a latest blog post. Is’ it exciting, no worry about unique content, link building, nothing but just get engage enormously in social media and more the chance of  getting found in top position in Google SERPs that display real-time results.

How to do Real-Time Search Optimization?

Considering all these things in my point of view real-time search optimization will be required to become a part of real-time search. Because still it’s a new concept and understanding of people is not so much about it will take time to come out with some technical description. Real-time search optimization can be define as following

Search Engine Optimization + Social Media Optimization = Real-Time Search Optimization

In simple word integrating seo with social media optimization can result into real-time search optimization.

Real-time search optimization will require good social media planning and strategies then technical knowhow. Definitely the basics of SEO will not be challenged, and possibly will be as long as search engines exist.  But to build the brand reputation need of social media with seo will be in more demand. Now it will be not simple as just optimize your site and found in top SERPs but it will be also very important what people are talking about your brand in social media.

In present scenario the most important thing is to focus on Twitter to build your social relevancy because tweets are showing up in Google real-time search within minutes. You will have to work hard to build up a genuine following and really good tweets in order to be there. But also not to forget other online communities like Facebook, Myspace, Linkedin, Youtube, etc, to strengthen your social eminence.

Definitely it’s a new start and lot to come about, that’s why start doing basic things and planning for Real-Time Search Optimization.
