Google Real Time search: War is on
Google has now come up with a powerful new real-time search facility that lets users gets real-time search results (from Twitter, Facebook, and other sites) right in custom result pages. Bing had already integrated real –time Twitter and Facebook results. Now both of the major players in search business have been in real-time search, war begins.
“Real-Time Search” has surely been a buzzword for quite a longtime; Twitter has been major factor in this. But when we consider Google & Bing, defiantly it’s going to change the concept in many ways. Chance of Google being dominating Bing are more because of following factors.
While Google’s real-time search results are embedded in custom search results there else Bing is using a separate beta version of Twitter search known as bing.com/twitter. Definitely this is going to prove a major factor.
Google is just going to take a little part of Tweets in real-time results, because Google directly includes the most recent updates from blogs and news services.
Google’s real-time search includes a wide range of social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, FriendFeed, etc. Bing would have to do lot of work to match the Google’s real-time search class.
One interesting factor is that Google does not come up with a real –time feature for every search like Bing. The logic behind this will be the factor that there is probability of not having much real-time relevance to a search that particular time. It makes sense.
Google being the market leader of search business, defiantly got more better search engine technology then Bing and this is really going to help Google to provide better real-time search results.
