There is a misconception about social media that it is either free or too cheap to use. I do not agree with this thing. In my point of view social media is more expensive than conventional media. You will agree with me if you believe in an old saying “Time is money”. Social media is just about spending your precious time instead of money. Of course money is also evolved but the most important thing is, more the time you spend more the better results you get. (more…)

Social Media is a buzzword today; everybody is talking about twitter, facebook, linkedin, etc to promote their business. It is really very useful tool if used properly otherwise it can do harm instead of doing good. That’s why it is very necessary to do some ground work before starting your social media campaign.

Just answer the following questions and you will be in a better position to start your social media campaign:

What is the objective behind my social media campaign?

Do I really need to start a social media campaign?

How much time and money it’s going to required?

What is going to be ROI?

Shall it going to be beneficial for my products/services?

Do I need a social media expert or I am going to do it myself?

Which social media sites are best to promote my product/service?

What type of community I am looking for?

What will be the expectations of community from me?

How much I know about social media optimization?

What I need to know more about social media?

Who are my target audience?

What are their demographics?

What my competitors are doing on social media sites?

How many followers are there in my competitor’s Twitter a/c?

Do I need a blog?

Who is going to post or maintain the blog?

How I am going to monitor my campaign?

How I am going measure success of my social media campaign?

If you are able to answers these question satisfactorily then definitely it’s going to help you to start your social media campaign properly and be benefited from it
